Second year for the European Master in Management

A unique alliance of three prestigious European business schools offering a triple degree in management

The 36 students of the second entering class of the “European Master in Management” (EMM) programme have started their studies at the Lyon campus of EMLYON Business School. The average age of the students is 23, with a good balance of men and women (54% men and 46% women).

The students come from 15 different countries. 20 participants are European (Germany, Belarus, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania) while the 16 others come from vastly different horizons: China, Lebanon, India, Peru, USA, Venezuela.

Beyond the statistics, it is worth noting the background of the class. Though they are quite young, the majority already have a rich multicultural experience, or, as Philippe Gay, Academic Director of EMLYON Business School’s Masters programmes likes to say, they have “their own story without borders.” He adds that, “The vision of these young people, their academic achievements, their vitality, audacity and perception of what it means to be a global citizen are in perfect harmony with the philosophy of this demanding, innovative, international, multicultural and entrepreneurial programme.”

Alice Passuello, an Italian student in her second year of the programme says, “The international dimension of the programme, the excellence of the three partner institutions and the genuinely European triple degree greatly influenced my choice for this programme. I’m very satisfied and even recommended it to a friend who has just started her first year here!”

European Master in Management (EMM) in short:
Taught entirely in English, the European Master in Management programme is open – subject to a competitive selection process - to students from anywhere in the world holding at minimum a bachelor’s degree (from an institution of higher education), who wish to develop their management skills and an entrepreneurial spirit in a multicultural environment.
The first year of study consists of core courses taught at the EMLYON Business School campus, followed by an internship of 6 months. The second year of the programme focuses on acquiring knowledge and takes place at the partner institution that is recognised as an expert in the field: marketing at Aston Business School, finance at EMLYON Business School and consulting and strategy at the Munich Management School (LMU).

The alliance of these three institutions, with thousands of partner companies, opens the door to EMM graduates via a career centre capitalising on a community of 30,000 graduates and a powerful, worldwide business network.
