The End of “Just Learn It”
"Talent development is more than ever the major strategic stake of companies: knowing how to recruit, identifying the highest potential, promoting adaptation to constantly changing strategies, properly motivating despite work pressures and above all, cultivating loyalty in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the business.
The competitiveness of organisations implies increasingly relying on the development of human resources.
Initiatives and budgets invested in this mission have grown steadily over the past 20 years, making this period the bridge to Life Long Learning. Examples of this trend include the creation of corporate universities, the development of “Executive Education” departments at Business Schools, the emergence of large consulting firms specializing in training and HR development and the customisation of training to the point where it is tailor-made.

Within EML, the current conditions have led us to ask ourselves about the real impact of all these approaches.
We have now acquired the deep conviction that we must turn a new page in the history of competencies development, always focusing on Performance and how to Measure it – to measure the real impact of competencies development programmes on the performance of people, teams and organisations.
Confirmed by our research and 30 years of experience in leadership training, we know that performance does not come from the “classroom.” To this end, we designed EMLPROCESS, a complete, original and exclusive programme for developing skills. We start with the identification and measurement of needs, while integrating assessments, customised solutions, training, setting up support and coaching, then concluding with a series of results measured over time.
We now believe it is time for Executive Education to make room for Executive Development.
To become your active and proactive partner in a comprehensive, integrated and efficient process leading to the development of performance and individual or team skills, I am particularly pleased to announce the launch and creation of EML Executive Development.
We have decided to turn it into a fully-fledged subsidiary of EMLYON Business School, with dedicated and sharp teams turned towards the horizons of training, consulting, assessment and coaching. All are driven by a single philosophy : "Energizing Modern Leaders" !
