World Entrepreneurship Forum
The first worldwide think tank about entrepreneurship
European Campus (Lyon-Ecully)
Founded by EMLYON Business School and KPMG with the recent collaboration of Babson College (Boston U.S.A), the World Entrepreneurship Forum is the first worldwide think-tank dedicated to Entrepreneurship and the role it should play in today’s society.
As an independent research, meeting and debate environment, the WEF acts towards the promotion of entrepreneurs as “value creators” and contributors to social justice. It also aims at sharing best practices in management worldwide.
It is time what we give more floor to those who, by their hard work and daring, create new, concrete value for the world on a daily basis. Entrepreneurs can take up this world’s new challenges and contribute to more social justice.

The first edition of the forum was held in Evian, in November (13-15th) 2008. It received the support of the French Senate, Assemblée Nationale, Departement of Research and Education, as well as that of the OECD. It gathered 72 members (entrepreneurs, politicians, experts, philosophers..) from 35 different nationalities and over 300 for the Gala night.
The publication of the proceedings from the 2008 Forum, as well as the publication of a collective work (book) “Entrepreneurship as a value creator and contributors to social justice ” is in progress.
The 2008 WEF is also planning to broadcast the results of its symposia through participations to a number of national and international events.
The Forum’s next edition will be held in November (18—22) 2009.
